Do you have to deactivate message blocking before changing your plan? T mObile!?

I changed my plan yesterday to unlimited texting. Prior to this, my message blocking was active. Do i have to deactivate this or will it automatically deactivate since i got unlimited?! please only helpful answers. thank you :)
ps: customer service isnt really helpful..
