Do you have to pay monthly for iPad apps?

I want to buy an iPad and i would like to know if i have to pay monthly for any apps, or have to pay monthly for the iPad alone, or monthly for any service that comes on the iPad.

no, you dont have to pay monthly for an ipad or apps. some apps do require you to pay monthly, like a GPS, but most of them doesnt need monthly payment. if you are going to get the ipad with internet, then you will have to pay your bills for that, but otherwise you wont need to pay monthly.
