Do you think being "mixed" or biracial is like being a celebrity?

...Like it's not what its cracked up to be? Like people are intrigued by you, but sometimes it's more work involved than many believe... being accepted, trying to please people, having to find a sense of identity. And there's always some kind of criticism.

We definitely walk a thin line between two drastically different worlds. However, I would suggest it as an anomaly more so than a celebrity because people consider biracials somewhat inferior at times. In my case, I have had loads of hateful words/comments/criticism hurled at me simply because I didn't look like everyone else.

Not really, I don't know what small southern town you are living in but I see biracial people all the time, they aren't more or less intriguing than the next person.

Unfortunately we live in a world where Beauty is NOT jsut skin deep. I wouldn't say it's like being a celebrity but, you are ALWAYS out there on front street for whom ever. You 're either not enough of this, too much of that, or pretending to be somethin you're not.
