source of survival? O.K. the reason why I say this is because cannibalism came from when people were without food for weeks or months, and out of desperation they ate their own species of people.

Now with that being said....I believe that people ate carbs, such as plants because they SUCKED at hunting for meat. They couldn't catch meat for nothing and out of desperation their were having severe hunger pains so guess what they did? They ate grass to keep from starving to death....anyway over time people's bodys' evolved to needing carbohydrates ONLY because we shouldn't have been eating them in the very first place...Now, is the reason today that people always say you need carbs as part of a balanced diet. I believe the early man hunted for meat as the primary and ONLY at that time food source. There were no eating of carbs. Carbs make you fat even complex carbs...they're all SUGAR! Some are just SLOWER forms of sugar. I'm doing the Atkins diet regardless of what anyone tells me and if I die, then so be it. I've been doing it for almost a week and I haven't been too tired to do cardio or strength training. So that you're body needs energy bull is garbage. Explain why I was able to ride my exercise bike if I haven't had any carbs for a week. Can you explain that? To the carb lovers out there.

TRUE SAY but i'm pretty sure other animals genetically close to humans eat carbs as well such as prime apes

See, if human beings looked like, say, Tigers or Sharks, I'd agree with you there. I'd think "why the hell have we got all these fangs and sharp pointy teeth and we're eating carrots?"

But we don't. We're soft and squidgy. We have a mixture of teeth, some flat for grinding carbohydrates and some sharp for eating meat. We're not very fast, our hearing, eyesight and smell isn't very good and in general the only reason we're successful hunters is because we can use tools.
Your assertion that early man hunted primarily for meat is a silly assertion, as is the idea that humans ever ate grass (we can't digest grass, we only evolved one stomach).

Think of it this way. In the summer, there was an abundance of fruit and vegetables for early man to forage and eat. Hunting animals was HARD. So why bother? Why not eat the fruit and vegetables?
In the winter, when there were few vegetables and fruits available to early man, but there were still animals to hunt, so we did that instead. Humans are built to eat everything because it's the most adaptive thing to do.

The fact that you haven't been too tired to do cardio in your week on the Atkins doesn't disprove the huge amounts of scientific research that shows that carbohydrates are important for quick energy release.
Whether you die or not is your business. Your justifications for dying, however, are stupid. Atkins diet is primarily a low calorie diet, as you can eat fewer protein calories than you can carb ones. It's just an unhealthy low calorie diet.

Increased meat eating in humans occurred after tools were developed to be able to hunt and kill animals. Before that they were more similar to chimps and relied on mostly fruit. Bananas have 23 net carbs. So humans were on a high carb diet long before they had the technology to be able to have much meat in their diet
