My girlfriend and I have been together for about 2 and 1/2 months. She was using birth control so when we engaged in Sexual Intercourse we were not using condoms and I wasn't really thinking about the problem of STDs. We just found out that she in fact does have genital herpes and did not know it since she has never had an outbreak. I just got tested but I am curious if you think since we have been having unprotected sex for so long that I've already become infected? I haven't had any break outs however thinking back, about 2 weeks or so after we started having sex I got really sick for about a week and a half. I was running a fever with a really bad sore throat and back pain/body aches. I know flu symptoms are a sign of genital herpes even if you don't have an outbreak, do you think that's what it was? Like I said, I've already been tested but while I'm waiting for the results I really want to know what you guys think!
