With the jump from VHS to DVD, people were instantly able to see the difference between quality in terms of both sound and picture. With Blu Ray, you really need an HD-TV to get the full experience, but the majority of people still have yet to make the jump from standard to HD televisions.
So my question is, do you think it's possible that the Blu-Ray format will get skipped over entirely by the general public until an even better format arises?
