The other night when I got home from school, I noticed that my cockatiel's left ear was exposed. It looked like the orange feathers were just situated in a way that is was uncovered, so I tried to move them back to cover the ear. However, it will not go back. The ear is NOT red or irritated looking. & I do not think he is moulting, because I do not see evidence of fallen orange feathers on the floor of his cage. There are a few grey feathers, but when he moults there are usually a TON of feathers.
Then, I also noticed that he has a very tiny red cut or irritation above his eye. It is not bothering his eye(he is not squinting or anything) and there is no drainage.
Do you think he banged himself in his cage, or is this something serious?
btw-he is acting like his normal self, singing, biting, whistling, eating, drinking.
Should I be concerned??
