My inlaws came for memorial day weekend. they live 9 hours away, lucky for them my 2 year old has a great memory and was excited to see them. He had a great time when they played with him, but it was very little. Mostly they ignored him, and would walk away when he asked them to take a walk or play with them! I couldn't ven get them to sit and watch kids tv with him. He would run up and grab their leg and say "I love you!" My MIL always suggests that I should put him to bed at around 6 o'clock. He goes to bed at 8 and sleeps til almost 8 yet she kept saying she couldn't believe he was "already" up-I told her I thought 12 hours was pretty awesome sleep! I am pregnant with my second, and when they asked if we were going to have more after this and I said probably no, they said that was good because kids today are too demanding, since 'they always want to go on walks and watch sesame street." really? That's demanding? He didn't have any tantrums but he would come up to them and take him glasses off and mess with them, which he hasn't done in ages, I told him he was just trying to get their attention! My folks really dote on him, he's not used to people visiting and pretending he isn;t there. Do you have stuff like this that makes you crazy? please share? Tammy, my in-laws have 3 sons and 3 grandsons and are heartbroken every time its not a girl, so I am kind of worried we'll have the same situation as you in reverse if this next baby turns out to be a girl (we find out in 12 days). That's awful!
