I own a 1993 Dodge dakota V6 engine and a few months ago I bought monroe sensa trac shocks for the front of my truck. So for the past 3 weeks my left front shock absorber has been making a loud sound even when I shake the truck gently on the left side. The sound of the shock sounds like a styrofoam container. Also I do live in a environment with lots of snow and cold temperatures.

I try to grease and oil the shock but the irritating sound did not go away. Is my shock absorber bad or is there a solution?

P.S Sena Trac shocks suck!

Thanks

your right about the shocks they do suck big time, i got those on my Dakota also and i have had all kinds of noises from them especially in cold weather ,they run good on my dodge ram but not the Dakota,it has stiffer ride also, and it takes long ride to soften them up.the only solution is to change them is what im going to do the parts store has agreed to take them back under warranty and mark them as being bad or not satisfactory, that's the only solution to this problem with those shocks, buy a cheaper shock and it will ride a lot better and be a lot less noisier, good luck .
