Does any1 know how to convert divx to dvd so it will play on a non divx dvd player?

i need to know how to convert a 28 episode anime series that is in divx format to a dvd so it will play on my non divx dvd player. i have tried convertx but it says the conversion quality is low and to reduce video length. any advice would be appreciated.
