I need to do a monologue for Drama next week and i want to do one from The Host by stephenie meyer because it is my favourite book.
it can be as short as 30 seconds
I wouldn't suggest doing anything from a Stephenie Meyer book. I'm an experienced theater actress, and, if you want to get a good grade, I would suggest finding an actual play. Too many younger teens are doing stuff from Twilight, the Host, ect.
Here are some ideas that'll get you a decent grade and impress the teacher:
-The Diary of Adam and Eve by Mark Twain
(this was made into a play, very remarkable).
- A Streetcar Named Desire
-Dream girl, by Elmer Rice
-Twelfth Night by Shakespeare (Viola has some of the greatest monologues ever!)
-The Shadow Box
