Every elected official in my county is of the same party, from county commissioner to sheriff to tax assessor, all of them. Every elected official in my city is of the same party, from mayor to councilman. My state representatives in both chambers as well, and of course the governor.
I'm just curious: does anyone else live some place where the opposite party (whatever it may be) has ZERO elected officials, and thus effectively resides in a one-party district? The last remaining official was voted out over 8 years ago, so this isn't a fluke. I'd be interested to see how common this is at the local and state level.
