Does anyone have/know a kid named Lincoln?

I asked everyone for their best strong boy names about a week ago. Looking back I was very surprised to see that many lists included the name "Lincoln". My huband wants this so badly but I don't really care for it. He wants me to think about it and just at least consider this. Does anyone have/know a kid named Lincoln? If so do they like it? What do people say when they hear it? What nickname do you use?

I was just trying to be open minded but I guess because I never heard of it before it just sounds strange.

A teen (19 or 20) in our neighborhood is called Lincoln! He doesn't go by any nickname.

Personally, the name stinks!

The family has all L Names: Loni (girl), Levi, & Lincoln and the dog is called Lexington.

I grew up with a boy named Lincoln (actually his first name was John, Lincoln was his middle name but he hated John). We all called him Linc. I really like the name. I don't remember anyone thinking his name was strange and he wasn't made fun of for it.

Someone I graduated high school with named her little boy Lincoln. I think it's an awesome name, and the nickname Link is cute! Not to mention it can't be a bad thing to be associated with one of the greatest president's of the United States :)
