I have just bought the phone and it is on t mobile but i would rather put my o2 sim in it. I remember unlocking my old mobile for free but cant remember where i found the codes. Any help much appreciated! Thank you.

Hi free unlock code is not available for your mobile model. So better you can go for paid unlocking service. I would suggest this site Mobileunlocksolutions.com here you can get the unlock code and unlock your mobile easily. To get the code you have to mention which country is locked now,network provider and imei number. Then they send unlock code through email.
