Does anyone see a possible trend forming?

President Obama has a habit of showing up on television almost immediately to blame someone, or something (usually Republicans or the TEA Party) whenever anything happens in this country. The trend I am starting to notice is that he does not appear as quickly, when he knows he can't get away with blaming Republicans. Not only, does he not speak, he hides.

Two examples of what I am talking about: Standard & Poor dropped the credit rating from AAA to AA+ on Friday afternoon. Where was Obama? He was at Camp David and remained there. Obama finally speaks on Monday afternoon, and only made things worse, at least short term.

The other example came in 2010. The first weekend in May, we had an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that was a few days old. We had an attempt from an Islamic terrorist to bomb Times Square. We also saw the worst flooding in Nashville, and Middle Tennessee in history. (In fact, some businesses have not yet reopened.) Where was Obama during all this? He was on vacation, on a golf course, and did not speak about any these subjects until mid-week the following week.

My point is simple. It appears to me that when Obama can make a speech and remain in "campaign mode", he is all over television. However, whenever Obama has to show leadership, he is becoming harder and harder to find.

Before anyone brings up the Usama bin Laden raid, that was nothing more than a glorified photo-op designed to make Obama look Presidential. The media tries to make Obama look like a leader daily, yet looking like a leader and showing leadership are two entirely different things, and the American People do know the difference.
