does bittorrent shuts down when the pc turns off?

i need to download something and it takes a day.
and i really need to turn off my computer for a reason.

if the answer is yes..tell me a software or any alternatives how to maintain it downloading,,tnx

have your pc go into standby instead of full shutdown, should keep downloading:)
 
If your computer is off all task are off since there's no power ruining through the cables only in your power supply
