Does buyer pay shipping fees if they want to do a local pick up on ebay?

I listed an item on ebay for $40 shipping $9.99. The person who bought the item lives like 5 minutes away from me an wants to do a local pickup. I don't mind doing the local pickup but do they still pay the shipping cost? do they come to my house and pick it up or do i drive to them? I've never done a local pickup before
 
No they don't pay for shipping.


With regards to pick up or drop off...thats up to you and how comfortable you feel. I suggest having someone around or doing this during the day just to be safe.
