does "finallyfast.com" really speeds up your computer/internet?

i saw this ad in the commercials. does it really speeds up your pc or is it just a fake advertisement? & if it does speeds up your pc, does it work for laptops too? thanks lots (-:

No - you should never spend money on FinallyFast or any other program 'like' FinallyFast. There are dozens of free programs that will do a better, safer job of ridding your computer of malware and viruses. If your computer is running slowly you should post questions about the specific problems you are having and there will be lots of good, free advice on how to fix it.

It's likely a proxy service only useful for dial up.

It works by creating a high speed connection between their server and the site you want to access and caching it. It then uses a client -server connection program to 'zip' the data and send it faster to you...

Sites that you or other people using the same progtam have browsed and loaded into the proxy's cache that don't change will load faster. You might see an improvement in access to common sites if using an old dial up modem but in real terms it's unlikely you'll get much improvement, nothing like broadband access...
