Having lived in Fort McMurray until 2002 and still benefiting from the paycheck i am on the other side when it comes to shutting them down. It would cause McMurray to be a ghost town and take horrible effects on the Alberta economy. With all that green peace does to shut them down do they honestly think they will succeed? Even so they can rally up city people big corps and governments will probably stand by the oil sands plus all of Alberta. Why don't we focus more on China where you can't see the sky with so much pollution- up north you can still see the blue sky! Also with the big oil up there comes awesome things such as the united way one year 1.3 million dollars THATS ONE CHARITY. I really don't see why environmental groups try to take down the bigger polluters than the oil sands. Yes i think that the good outweighs the bad in the oil sands cause I've LIVED there not just gone up and saw.
