Does it bother you when your favorite celebrity espouses a political cause?

I mean, I loved Brad Pitt in Fight Club but I'm not going to suggest his leaving Jen for Angie who is a total lib. now affects his persona. I mean, I love to watch a few movies but I don't pay any more mind to his political views than I do my next door neighbor who wears them with political signs. One guy is a mechanic and the other acts in movies. Who's opinion do I trust most? Neither actually.
Does it bother you when your favorite actor/actress gets all political? (Especially if it's against your own beliefs)
 
Yes, because I see it as them abusing their access to a public microphone the rest of us Americans don't get. It is elitist and arrogant. If I see one up there spouting then I never watch anything that person does again and never will.

A lot of people must feel the same because the entertainment industry is in financial trouble. And to think it used to be a virtually recession proof industry.
