I'm raising my daughter to be vegan, but I myself am only part-vegan. Yes I said part-vegan, lol.
I eat vegan foods for vegan reasons, but only when there's enough for both of us. Otherwise I'll eat meat or dairy and give her the vegan foods. This is because if I DO eat the vegan foods around here, since there's only so much to go around and no way to get more(Only until I move in June. After that this won't be an issue.), I feel like I'm taking away from my daughter.
Well, my mom, who takes care of her while I'm at school during the day, tells me "You're a hypocrite...how can you expect her to eat that crap and you eat something different?"
I full well admit the hypocrisy of my actions...but does it make sense why I do it? Is this justifiable or should I just give her non-vegan foods until we move, to "honest-up" the situation?
