Does Monster Jam always end with the last truck destroyed but declared the winner?

We went to our first Monster Jam Saturday and we enjoyed, but I'm wondering if the ending was planned. The last truck in the freestyle fell apart in a flash of fire and then was declared the winner and the show was over. That seemed a little too dramatic, and he really didn't give the best freestyle performance. If you have been to other Monster Jams I would like to know if they also end that way.
