Does my computer have a dead CMOS battery?

a while ago my computer stoped booting and it would just display different blue screens, just yesterday i tried to turn it on and it wouldnt do anything except display the motherboard logo and i tried to go to my bios but it wouldnt load it would just display small lines (around 1cm) going horizontally from the left side of the screen. Does this sound like a dead CMOS battery?
