...legit future? Sometime soon, in another year or so, Branson's Virgin Atlantic Airways (or some other special Virgin subsidiary) will be flying a few dozen passengers from Europe to North America in about 2 hours....the craft actually rides on top of the atmosphere for a while, as I understand it. Is this just one huge publicity stunt and "global spectacle" to amaze everyone....or is there really a future in this kind of air transportation? Don't forget--they stopped flying the Concorde/SST less than a decade ago...it was just too impractical. Aerospace & transportation engineers and other experts--please fill us in!!
