Does the espression of human sexuality have something to say about all of this?

Our expression of sex transends acts of sexual intercourse or even sexual orientations and attractions. We percieve the world around us through male and female bodies and that does color our world quite a bit right there. Then add in orientation and the act itself and we see a major area that makes up who we are as people, not animals, people. Yet, it seems our behavior in areas of expression is becoming degraded and even worse than animal expression Would you not agree?
- Pornography industry is making more money in the U.S. than all of the major compter networks (google, Yahoo, ect...) combined and it promotes filth and degrades women.
-STD's have been on the rise over the last century
-One is considered abnormal or weird if they want to be a virgin until they get married.
-Homosexuality is acceptable and encouraged, as is bi-sexuality, fornication, fetishes and any other expression.

Doesn't it seem like we're de-evolving in the area of sexual expression? Please share...

No, I don't agree.

Porn in no way is filth (that's just your opinion) and it most certainly does NOT degrade women. They know what they are getting into and are paid for it. It's a job, nothing more. And who are you to judge?

STD's are on the rise because we have a LARGER population. You realize, that in 2007, the largest number of babies were born since the baby boom in the 1950's, right?

No, many remain virgins and virginity is respected. Maybe you don't respect it, but many other people do. It shows courage of their convictions.

If you weren't so uptight about sex and your own natural body - maybe these wouldn't bother you so much. Religion has ruined the thought processes of our society. They claim the ''original sin". Bullshit! That has to be the biggest load of crap EVER dispensed. It's nothing more than institutionalized repression of normal natural sexual desires. Not to mention, in the Bible, there are many instances where "fornication" has lead to offspring that rise up and take over the Nation in the name of God. It's all way too hypocritical.

Are we devolving....well, you are a fine example of that. We worked so hard to reach an age of enlightenment, but people like you continue to want to drag us back (kicking and screaming) into the dark ages. Someone needs to buy a lamp and get with it already....jeez!!!




EDIT: Look, I have nothing personal against you. But you need to realize something. Not everyone believes as your religion demands. We aren't forced to.
Furthermore, how would it make you feel if I made this statement "Doesn't it seem like we're de-evolving because of Christianity?" Probably pretty upset and hurt.

Think about what you say before you say it.
 
First of all, homosexuality is considered a normal and natural variation of human sexuality by the American Psychological Association and seveal other professional mental and medical health organizations.

Since the evidence of that is overwhelming, I consider everything else you mentioned in you question to be wrong.

By the way: I like how you snuck "homosexuality" in that long list as an excuse to possibly gay bash. It is SO DARING!
 
You talk about this as if it's something new. It isn't. What do you mean 'worse than animal'? Are animals wrong to behave as they do? Don't forget, brains aside, we are animals too. Human activity, for want of a better word, has, does, and always will represent all colours of the rainbow, including all the things you don't like...........
