Does the train which runs through Carrolton TX have bells? I have seen...

...some intersection near Frisco/no bells? The bells are warning. To have intersections without the bells I would think is dangerous. A kid was killed 11/12/11 walking on the tracks and I wonder if he ever heard it coming. From my state the silent trains would lead to major lawsuits, but around TX no one seems to care. I don't' get it.

There are bells at the crossing, not on the trains, the trains use a horn to warn people.
No one is supposed to be walking on the tracks, and it is their responsibility to avoid being hit by a train.
The engineer can not possibly stop in time to miss someone or something that is no the tracks.
The rules regarding crossings are mostly the same in all states, and yes people care, but as long as there are trains people will be hit by those trains.
When the dart rail first went down Lancaster Ave, in Oak Cliff some kids climbed the fence so as to be hit and killed by the train, but the parents still thought it was the train's fault.

Trains and highway grade crossings are different things.

ALL railroad locomotives are equipped with an air horn, and a bell. They are required safety devices.

Highway grade crossings may or may not have a cross gate, flashing lights, or warning bells. It all depends on how much traffic passes over that crossing.

Anyone walking on the railroad tracks is trespassing on railroad property. They shouldn't be there, and if they are they assume the risk. Sorry if someone was killed, but the railroad is NOT responsible. That would even apply in your state. Yes, ALL locomotive engineers do everything in their power to avoid striking people, but a loaded train can take over a mile to stop.
