i want to buy the 'Anolon Advanced Nonstick Hard-Anodized Aluminum 8-Piece Cookware Set' for my mother and I was was wondering if anyone knew about the bottom of this set? I cant have ridges in the bottom because the heat causes the pans to jump around on a glass stove. Does anyone have any helpful information about glass-stove safe cooking sets that are under $150?

When you want to move it off the heat and put it on another part of the stove that's what causes the issue on ceramic tops. Hot pans need to be removed to surfaces off the stove. Since this set is black is should not be an issue..Painted adonized presents a problem on ceramic. The Cuisinart is nice too http://www.cookware.com/Cuisinart-66-10-CUI1015.html

The adonized should not go in the dishwasher. But they can go in the oven to 400 degrees. The other issue is with them being light weight they can warp on the ceramic tops.

Personally I feel Teflon should be reserved for frying If I were buying a set in that price range I would choose this one for a ceramic top. Double and triple ply stainless heat fast and conducts like none other on the ceramic. http://www.amazon.com/Farberware-Classic-Stainless-15-Piece-Cookware/dp/B00006IFQH/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1260859238&sr=1-2-spell Another issue with ceramics is that the pans should match the elements precisely.
