Does Tmobile's Sidekick Slide work with prepaid?

I've been a prepaid costumer with Tmobile for 3 years and I've really been interested in picking up a sidekick slide. Is it any good, worth the 300+ bucks? And will I have full access to the internet if I'm still with prepaid? If so, how much is the internet access cost?
