comfortable? I have been wearing my indoor soccer shoes (not cleats) on outdoor uses like on the field and grass surface for 1 year now. I have pain/discomfort on my feet. I dont know if its because of the shoes. I would like to get some feedback from you guys. Is the pain because of wearing wrong type of shoes on grass surface instead of wearing soccer cleats?

Yes, because indoor shoes do not grip the grass as well as they do turf.

This puts stress on the arch of your foot as you slide around and stuff. You should wear cleats. This will help your foot.

Also, I have found that indoor shoes do not provide much support for you foot. This could be another problem possibly.

It depends. It could be support issues in your shoes. If you are playing the game, you should be wearing cleats as it gives you better traction and control. If you are just running or refereeing, you should stick with the flats b/c cleats will actually cause more pain in your feet if worn over a long time.
