Don't you find PDA too much and rude sometimes?

I don't mean to be a prude but I find PDA to be so gross and rude to others (especially around them). I get it - you love your boyfriend/girlfriend and it's nice to show some cute, small affectionate behavior - small kisses, holding hands, holding each other around the waist while walking but major PDA is something I can't tolerate. (And it's so uncomfortable when you're near them too).

I don't want to stereotype because not all asians are like this but from my observation, the asian ESL students I see are always involved in public display of affection. Fondling at a coffee shop? Seriously?! There's a couple next to me right now sitting across from each other and the girl has her legs up on her boyfriend's lap (near his crotch), his head is down on the table as she's petting his hair... at a coffee shop. Really?! He'll grab her legs as if they're having sex (in that position). Some ESL students on campus are very very affectionate and they don't need to be. It's just so rude to others around them, like they're horny high school kids. Were they really that deprived and prohibited of affection back in their country? I'm asian too that grew up with strict parents but there's no way in hell I would act like that in public... it's too much...
