Downloaded a movie from bittorrent, says it's a video file, but plays like a

song file in windows media player? I downloaded kung fu panda, the file name is
kung.fu.panda[2008]DvDrip-aXXo and all the comments from other people say it works perfectly. How can I get it to work like a movie as opposed to a song?

you probably need to isntall the right codex.

download either of the below programs to watch it

VLC player
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

DIVX plater
http://www.divx.com/en/win

hey i think i can help. Go to download.com and type in the search box "VLC Media Player"; select the first option (it has the highest rating) and download it. it will play any video file you'll download from the internet.

1)download VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) or media player classic (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm)
2)download Combined community codec pack (http://cccp-project.net/).
3)Install those
4)take your pick of media player classic or VLC player to play the video file.
5)enjoy the movie!
