Downloaded AoM3 off the internet, doesn't work after getting all the DLLs,?

I get everything where it needs to be, and once I run aomx.exe, it says to insert an AoM titans expansion CD-ROM. I got this aom off the internet, luckily, I have the CD. I put it in and it says "need previous game installed for this to work", etc etc.....
If you know what to do please help.
