Dream about ex-girlfriend?
I was in a very serious relationship with a woman and we broke up under bad circumstances. Towards the end there was a lot of fighting and neither of us was really happy anymore (but technically she left me). Three months later she was in a new relationship and I felt that this was a slap in the face, given the seriousness of our relationship. I am currently in a new relationship and it is going very well, but last night I had a dream about my ex and her new boyfriend.
It begins with me at my parents house. My ex then shows up at the front door late at night and tells me she's not with her new boyfriend anymore and that leaving me was a mistake. She also tells me she wants to get back together with me. I recall feeling bad that she was upset because i still care about her, but i told her that i did not want to get back together. I told her she could stay the night and she slept on the couch in my parents living room while i slept in my childhood room.
My mother then woke me up in the middle of the night and told me to go to the living room. I walked in on my ex and her new boyfriend engaging in intercourse. I became very upset and began yelling at them. He ran from me and i cornered him and began punching him in the face. However, my punches didn't have any power behind them (and i would have no problem beating this guy up). He just stood there while i punched him repeatedly in the face, while my ex yelled at me to stop.
Any kind of help in interpreting this would be greatly appreciated.
