I purchased the Droid Eris a few weeks ago and so far it has been a superb phone. my only issue is I can't figure out how to set a ringtone using an MP3 like on my old phone. I would really appreciate any insight on this.

Oh, and does anyone know what the crosshair means on the top of the main screen? There's the cell connection, battery level, wifi level, time and a crosshair. what does it mean, and what does it mean if it has ")))" next to it?
