Dual mode on dish network: remote for TV #2 is changing both TVs.?

It is on dual mode.but in the upper left corner of the tv where it shows the little tvs telling you if you're on single or dual mode, tv2 is in front of tv1 whereas it's usually the other way around.now tv2 keeps controlling tv1.tech support/customer service didn't help.
