UGH HELP PLEASE? OK so I read tutorials on how to burn a .ISO image (Windows 7, to be exact) using NERO 7 premium. Well, I ended up ditching nero and its un needed crouded UI and just used plain OL ImgBurn, but in the end, it ended uo not working so I used Active ISO burner.

A little computer background and additional information you need to know:
-I was using a Laptop from futureshop (I asked the guy which computer will be the fastest to burn an iso image to a dvd, he pointed to a gaming laptop)
-The DVD type is r, and the burning DID completely finish 100%, but when I went to go click on the DVD it showed up as empty (0 bytes out of 0 bytes.. Original size was 4.7GB)
-when I took it out, it had a clear space which took up half of the disk from the insode going out (original color was blue)

So I figured, well since its a setup disk, it might just appear as if its empty until a computer is booted by CD (in this case, the DVD-r) but nothing happened, disk was empty..
-All DVD or necessary drivers are all updated, and working correctly

Could any1 PLEASE tell me what I did wrong?
Im figuring its the program Im using, but I hate nero7 premium and ImgBurn somehow doesnt even work..
Could one of you really smart and wise Yahoo answers people please direct me to a tutorial for a WORKING program, or simply the name of the program :)
The type wouldnt matter, the latest dvd drives can handle all dvd-r, rw, cd-r etc.

in nero express, you have the choice to select dvd project or data project.
Try both if not sure what the iso is.

Also when nero popup window says to insert blank disk, read carefully as it will tell you what type of disk to insert. It will say insert CD or DVD and this is dependent on what you chose when you opened nero. It will also say -r or +r, and this is dependent on the brand of burner installed, which yoiu cannot change. But you have to use the disk type it says.

Also in My computer, right click the burner drive >properties >recording tab >tick enable recording.

Also if the disk is going to be read by an older cd/dvd rom, then sometimes they dont like multisession disks. you need to open nero and select no multi session to finalise the burn. Open Nero express, click nero button.

You never said what type of dvd r you have. Is it plus or minus? Install and run Nero Info tool to see exactly which type your drive can handle. Nero 7 sucks. I use Nero 6.
