Easiest way to watch XVID files on the PS3 that were downloaded on the computer?

I've read that the PS3 supports XviD files now so if I were to download a movie on my computer, what is the fastest way to get it on to the PS3 to watch? When I hook my laptop up to my 60 inch TV through a VGA cord it doesn't fit the whole screen so I was hoping to solve this problem by watching movies on the PS3.

See the link in source to the official playstation website for help setting it up. Theres a range of third party software you can use from your pc but I just use media player and it never fails

Edit:
Make sure you allow Windows Media Sharing in your firewall if it doesn't do it automatically and you have problems accessing the video- I didn't have this problem.

If you have an technical issues playing files, windows media sharing to the ps3 or setting it up just head over to the official playstation forums @ www.playstation.com and there will be plenty of guys that can help you out
