It should be noted that iTunes does not support DVD format which makes it difficult to directly transfer DVD items to iTunes owing to the lack of instant compatibility. This challenge is overcome by the use of software which can make it possible to import DVD to iTunes. Common software used in this importation is VLC media player or more commonly Doremisoft DVD Ripper Mac which can be used for both Windows and Mac.
