[QUOTE="carnaby_fudge, post: 1721653, member: 402415"] i just got an asus eeepc 901, 8.9", 20 gb ssd, linux based netbook. everything was fine out of the box until i installed updates (2 of which were for the trackpad). now the trackpad will not "click". both tapping and the buttons seem to be disabled. although when i plug in a usb mouse everything is fine. i couldn't get anything from the asus support site as it takes about 10 mins to load just to tell me that the site is unavailable. any thoughts on what's up with my trackpad. i can use the usb mouse for now but it kinda defeats the purpose of having the netbook. thanks for your help. cb oh, and i already thought of the easy stuff like rebooting and going into the trackped menu. all is fine there.
