Electrics warning light on a 1999 Vauxhall corsa? Could it be new stereo?

I recently got a 1999 vauxhall corsa. Everything was fine, until the electronics / immobilizer warning light came on. The only difference I can think of between when it was fine and now is that I have installed a new CD player - I took the factory standard one out. However, the light only comes on when I'm accelerating, and goes back out when I coast / brake. Any ideas?

well that woul dbe a good bet but easy to stop at any shop or parts s tore ask them to check charging system most places free could be belt slipping could be leak battery could be alternator could be new radio wiring having charging system check you will know

You might have a short circuit where a bare wire touches metal when you accelerate.
