Empty eye sockets in hallucinations?

Alright, my friend has been suffering from what I'm going to call hallucinations for about a month.
She thinks their real, the other people she's living with think she's making it up, I think it's just an issue with her mind.

Back story on her mind:
A little over a year ago she was given a major concussion at school, suffered a split personality disorder for a period of time, but has since recovered (most people thought it was made up as well)
This is why I think it's something with her mind, she has a history.

Issue at hand:
She's seeing faces, I don't know off hand if they have bodies, but she sees them in the kitchen, also she tried drawing without looking at the paper, and drew them. What's more is they are all eye-less. They have empty holes in the sockets. Like this guy's dream: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100510121537AAtk5wO

The difference is that guy was talking about his eyes and his friends' eyes, the faces my friend sees are strangers. In fact she refers to them as such. "IE: The Strangers are in the kitchen."

Final question: What is the meaning of my friend's hallucinations, if there is one at all?

I realize she should probably get medical help, but she has no insurance.

tl;dr = Friend seeing strange faces with no eyes, what means?
(If you're actively answering questions I'd hope you'd have read and not skimmed, but I'm covering all the bases just in case.)
