emule setup question please help!!!!?

I had emule a while ago and it worked, then it got deleted so now i've downloaded it again. When i clicked on emule it said "emule first time setup wizard" how do i do the ports and connection part (TCP and UDP(wont connect)).
once i skipped all this and the server wouldn't connect. please help!!!!!!!! what should i do
what are TCP and UDP
