Ever argued with someone who was all bullshit?

Just the other day my brother very arrogantly told me, "The most successful countries are the ones with the most linguistic diversity."

???????

and just now I got a post on yahoo answers informing me that since Martin Luther King "we have more racism now than ever."

????????????????????????

WTF?!

Why do people make up such bullshit? It's insulting! As if they could get this past me or something! What the hell do I do?

a) call them on it immediately
b) ignore them
c) play around with it to get their hopes up and then crush them
Bluff Mike, I disagree. How can you say that we have more racism now than ever? Repealing the Jim Crow Laws... Civil Rights Amendment... ring any bells?

By "affirmative action" are you suggesting that there is racism against white people? Because the questions on your profile are all about motor bikes, I will assume that is a yes.

While I do not agree with affirmative action (at the college and career level), it is not meant to be a "racist" practice. The idea behind it is to stir up the socioeconomic split between minorities and caucasians. Once minorities begin earning higher incomes, their children will have access to better resources and in turn the second generation will no longer need affirmative action.

Either A or B, depending on your mood. But make sure you have a sound refutation. But yeah, people are generally full of bullshit because they have nothing better to do.

I agree with Corcor! My favorite thing to do with imbeciles like that is confront them with their own bs logic, show them the holes, and them watch them stumble over their own tongues trying to reiterate the same nonsense as if they were actually educated on the issue, because you and i both know that they never really bothered to think about the feces they spew from their mouths (as if they could think). Many of them simply aren't used to being called on their lies. They way I see it, the more I put them on the spot, the less likely they will offer up their senseless dribbling in the future-- at least not around me.

just give an apathetic sounding "no it isn't" or "no he didn't" or "no I'm not" and then just give irritated responses to indicate you are busy until they get so aggrovated they go away.
