Every time I help a friend on quiz test D; they get a better grade than me!!! why?

So every time I help out a friend who is not getting the material I help them and they end up getting a better grade? I sometimes forget things during exam/test. So I guess it's because I have a problem remembering while taking test? It just kinda annoys me and feel it's unfair
