First Years True Fit Carseat in Audi A4?

Hi, we are considering getting the First Years True Fit Car seat for use in our Audi A4. We've heard that it's pretty wide. We will be using it rear-facing with our newborn. Does anybody have experience using this in a compact car? Does it leave enough space in the backseat for another passenger?
