Sony have no idea why this is the case, saying that's EA's and 2K's call to make. Which is fair enough! So Todd Sitrin, vice president of marketing sports branding at EA, thoughts, comments?
As you can see, every company making a football game this year made a decision that the best experience for the Xbox 360 included 60fps whereas the best experience for the PS3 was 30fps. We certainly believe that both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are our football products are outstanding experiences and recommend that each gamer look at the entire experience, not just one aspect. We think they'll be very happy no matter which version of the game they play.
So in other words, it was too hard getting the game running at 60fps on the PS3. Sorry. Which leads us to the question of whether this will matter. Will the casual Madden fan be able to tell the difference? Will it affect console sales? Could it in fact decide the fate of an entire hardware generation? I hope not. I lost too many friends in the great Genesis v SNES SFII wars of the mid-90s to see any more blood spilled over something as silly as this.Deflated Pigskin: PS3's Football Troubles [1Up]
