For those who belive in God, what is God trying to tell me?

I was driving this morning to school and came to a stop light. The lights turn green immediately so I push the pedal when all the sudden this little girl appeared. My car barely hit her wheels so she wasn't injured. I have good scanning when it comes to driving but I didn't see her. Why did this happen?
