What particular engine would you have.
7.3 6.0 6.4 6.7
5.9 12v 5.9 24 6.7
Personallyly i would defiantly get a Ford superduty 2005-07 running a 6.0l.
I have good luck with them and i love the way the start everyday and run hard.
Buy one back it under the 2 post lift and pop in some fat head studs and tweak the EGR off and pop an SCT on its invincible.
Fast and responsive.
Now im not saying the is the best truck Because there is no such thing.
The Dodge rams with a cummins are good trucks. The motors really dont have wide spread problems like the 6.0ls had at first but second gen 6.0ls 2005-07 are great they actually have less warranty claims then the 7.3 had. But i personally hate the way inline motors sound, and i really dont like the way dodges look and ride. And it rusted alot and we had older chevys and an older ford that didnt have the problem. The chevys ran good with a 6.2 but compared to the other trucks didnt have the power but thats because there old as the hills.
Now im not going to make any judgment about the cummins because iv never used one for long periods of time only about 2 months maybe. But the engine did need a new grid heater and computer but thats dodges fault anyway. I did not like the way it steered and it make wierd creeking noise, probably because it was a 98 but this was back in like 2006. It later threw a rod cause some asshole new guy was romping on it going like 80 with a 10,000 lb 5th wheel.
i believe that ford makes the best trucks the the trucks last a long time and the interiors are amazing the exteriors are the pretty and they ride perfect. What would you guys prefer?
