From the Giver book, what do you think happened to the community that Jonas

once lived in, did it corrupt? I am just curious of what happened to the community after Jonas and Gabriel escaped. Did the memories return to the community? How did they deal with that? What happened to the Giver and how did he help the community after Jonas left? How did Jonas and Gabriel live on? So many questions. Thank you if you answer.
 
I think that Jonas and Gabriel would be welcomed into an actual family and that Jonas got he wanted most which are love and choices. The memories should have returned to the community like the Giver predicted and the people must have been really scared and asked the Giver for help. The Giver might just try to convince everyone that they should live the way that they did back then when it wasn't sameness. Then they would break the community up. Then everyone would lead the lives that normal people have lived before.
