fuel injection light fiat punto?

Hi can any body help i have a 2002 fiat punto 1.2 16v elx automatic which i bought in june 2010 i keep getting the fuel injection light on the dash board it has been back to garage where we bought it 3 times for the same thing and now he has washed his hands of it. So what i want to know is where i locate the sensor so i can try to clean it to see if muck or damp may be causing the problem due to all the snow and frost we have had at the moment. I have also been told this is a common fault on the punto as the car seems to be running normal.

So if anybody can help i would be great before i start forking out loads of money at a garage just for them to plug a lap top many thanks in Advance Chris
 
There are many sensors, you do not say which but in any case a Haynes Manual would be a good investment for you to be able to deal with this.
